Susan Silberberg, city planner, architect, author, Blue Car enthusiast, and former MIT Lecturer, took a creative break in 2023 from her city planning firm, CivicMoxie and hit the road for almost four months in her 1970 Porsche 911T (affectionately known as the Blue Car). This blog began with that trip but that was just the beginning…there is much more to come!

After three decades of consulting, teaching, writing, and research, Susan’s continued travels and explorations, with and without the Blue Car provide much food for thought and time to reflect on what she has accomplished in her career and personal life, slow things down a bit, and ponder how she can best make a positive impact on humankind and the communities in which we live, love, work, and play.

Susan has many interests and this blog covers a wide range of topics and reflections. You might find musings on arts and culture, parenthood, driving a 53-year-old car, photography, getting older (and better!), solo traveling, love, loss, and pretty much anything else.

And of course there are the photos. Susan posted images every day of her 105-day Fall 2023 cross country road trip and will continue to write articles and post photos documenting her travels and local experiences. All of this is a reflection on her current and past miles traveled and years lived. You can find images of Susan’s Blue Car cross-country journey and other travels on Instagram.

So buckle up and stick with her…you never know what might be coming around the corner!
